My Story

Elaine Everett founded Motivation & Co. in 1997 and rebranded the organisation to Motivational Therapy Ltd in 2021.
Motivated by personal experience caring for her grandfather with Alzheimer’s, Elaine created a professional service to bring purposeful mental and physical stimulation into care homes.
Over three decades she has led the development of structured Motivational Therapy sessions—co designed with accredited specialists in exercise, physiotherapy and relaxation.
Independently researched in partnership with Leeds Metropolitan University and St James Teaching Hospital.
Her programmes have demonstrated measurable improvements in mobility, balance and reduced falls, and won the 2017 National Great British Care Award.
Elaine shares practical, adaptable tools for family carers, home carers and care professionals to deliver meaningful cognitive therapy at every ability level.
